Meet Daniel Kalu! He graduated as the senior Prefect of Birrel Avenue High School, Lagos. Daniel was also named the President of the Red Cross, JETS Club and Spelling bee club in his school. As a student at Birrel, he won several awards and received recognition, such as Lagos State New Era Foundation spelling (Mainland), Lagos State Prefects speech competition, National Labor Productivity debate competition, Bishop Akinde Science Fair and Eko Project science fair. Daniel was among the 6 students selected to represent Lagos during the presidential debate competition for secondary school students in 2014. From 2014-2016, he served as the president of African Movement for Working Children and youth (AMWCY) Makoko Association. AMWCY is an organization whose mission includes, helping children from impoverished communities across West Africa, teaching them about their rights and leading actions to implement them. Daniel received a full ride to study Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Minerva Schools at KGI. As a student at Minerva, Daniel started Deeging: a platform changing how people learn and connect globally.
